It is a nice machine for doing limited works. I purchased this because my TV has a hdmi input, no vga input, while my computer/ipad does not have hdmi video out. It is nice to watch youtube on TV, even the resolution is not too good, and you cannot zoom the screen to full size. You can watch video on TV, and not anything else, like pdf files, e-books.
You need to purchase a micro sd card to use it. Some micro sd card will not work with it. It is not working for Nokia micro sd card, but working for Sandisk micro sd card.
You cannot upgrade the OS system. That is ok for me. Android 2.2 is good for a while.
As a pdf ebook reader, Sometime, it is slow for turn one page for some pdf files, up to 2 to 3 seconds waits. It works well for some pdf files.
Web browsing are ok with Opera mini. The one come with the system is kind of slow. It opens pictures on web pages slowly.
It seems that the software in 'Market" are limited compare to ipad.
The USB port can read SD card with SD card reader, but cannot read a regular external usb hard disk. Too Bad. But with micro sd card and drop box, I don't need that function.
I never try the keyboard. The screen keyboard is stiff compare to ipad. It is workable, just not that good. I tried handwriting input for chinese characters, not working well for me. Not as easy as iPad.
Over all, if all you need is just web browsing, watch video files or web's video on hdmi TV, and read ebooks sometime, this is a good choice.
